![]() ![]() ![]() The four things that worry me about the SBE II, are whether or not it fits the same (both without comfortech stocks), If it is a durable / reliable gun (once again I won't be shooting many if any light target loads or brain bruising 3.5" loads), if the one piece barrel/upper receiver design has had problems with POI or other issues related to the barrel coming undone, and lastly, if the non chrome lining in the upper receiver is any better / worse than the chrome lining that is present in the M2's barrel extension. I thoroughly enjoyed the M2 and thought it fit me like a glove but, being that the few m2 Americans I can find are $300 or more than the one I originally purchased, Im hesitant to go that route when I can buy a SBE II without the comfortech for nearly identical price, and have better resale down the road if I ever decide to part ways with it.Īnother question is, are either of them more reliable than the other? I will be using this 99% of the time as my waterfowl gun and although I rarely if ever shoot 3.5" shells it would be nice to have a "stronger built" gun if its going to see a steady diet of 3" steel loads. I had a M2 American but let the girlfriend shoot it and well you know how the story ends. Been looking at picking up a SBE II without comfortech and am wondering if the stock dimensions/sight picture are the same as the m2 other than just slightly heavier/longer overall.
